Why Study Meditation?

Meditation is the medicine and the nutrition of the mind. Just like our bodies need proper care through good nutrition, exercises and healthy habits, our minds need to be provided with similar “maintenance”.

Meditation is quieting your mind. It might not sound like much but the benefits of meditation are numerous.

It is usually the mind chatter that gets in the way of our health and wellbeing. It is the constant inner talk that goes on in our heads that determines our reality. When the inner talk becomes more about what we don’t like in our surroundings and life, it becomes potentially dangerous for our emotional and physical health. It also creates unhealthy thought habits.

Meditation helps the mind reduce its thoughts to a minimum. When the chatter stops, we naturally move to a “higher vibration” of being, feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and emotionally stable.

Imagine working hard for days and days, carrying bricks from one place to another. Meditation is like taking the weight of the bricks off our shoulders, taking a refreshing, soothing and rejuvenating shower and allowing our body to relax and recoup.

You would be surprised how much meditation can do for your life.

When old negative thought patterns no longer dictate our life, when your mind can serve you at full capacity, when you feel energized, when you feel motivated and full of enthusiasm for the new, your life will getting progressively better.

Why settle for using just a small fraction of your potential, when you can use so much more and the quality of your life could be so much better!
